Пришло письмо-призыв от Гильдии. Они ищут энтузиастов на роль Главного Дизайнера правил 1.0, который будет ответственнен за перевод новых минек в оригинальный формат правил. Вот полный текст:

The DDM Guild is a global alliance of D&D Miniatures skirmish enthusiasts dedicated to keeping the skirmish game alive and continuing the fun of casual and competitive play in a variety of formats. As many of you know, Wizards of the Coast recently announced that the Guild will be granted a license to continue making skirmish stat cards for future D&D Miniatures releases. In addition, WotC will maintain tournament sanctioning and players' ratings and rankings through the DCI database. We are very excited about these developments!

The Guild is committed to supporting players of both the Original Edition (1.0) and Revised Edition (2.0) of the D&D Miniatures games. For the Revised Edition, Wizards of the Coast is following through on the pledge to update all sets -- from Harbinger to Demonweb. Moving forward, the Guild is fortunate to have earned the commitment of a group of WotC-trained freelancers who will continue design and development of Revised Edition stats for the DDM sets to be released in 2009 and beyond.

While the Guild is prepared to sanction Original Edition games using those sets produced by WotC (Harbinger through Desert of Desolation), we would like to see the Revised Edition sets (Dungeons of Dread through Demonweb) and future releases become available to players of the Original Edition. In order to support these players with a level of professionalism similar to that of the Revised Edition effort, the Guild currently is looking for a Design Lead for the Original Edition Team. The Original Edition Design Lead will be responsible for working with the Guildmaster and Organized Play Lead to:
° Create a new, single-source rulebook that incorporates all errata and clarifications for the Original Edition game.
° Maintain a database of stats for all Original Edition figures
° Assign and oversee design teams to produce Original Edition stats for Dungeons of Dread, Against the Giants, Demonweb, and the DDM sets to be released in 2009 and beyond.
° Oversee a Development Lead in playtesting and ensuring professional quality of all sets going forward. Our game has a history of banning only a single figure; this level of quality must be maintained.
° Oversee the production and release of cards for Original Edition figures on a promised schedule
° Issue errata and clarifications for newly developed Original Edition figures, as necessary
° Write monthly design articles for the Guild Newsletter

A successful candidate will demonstrate thorough knowledge of the D&D Miniatures Game Original Edition as well as relevant game design experience. Sample designs are welcome. Interested candidates should respond to ddm.guild@gmail.com by December 19, 2008.

We've received several excellent applications and have narrowed it down to four candidates -- one of whom is you. Congratulations! We'd like to ask each of our finalists to submit a small design test. Your task:
Design the 2008 D&D Miniatures starter set as Original Edition (1.0) figures.
Tell us who you would choose to fill out your design team. Name a team of six designers and tell us why you'd choose them.
